Some say Texarkana is a place with “Life So Large It Takes Two States,” because we offer more attractions, events, dining, lodging, natural beauty as well as modern shopping and historic treasures than any one city can hold. The living is large in our two cities located in two states.

Others think Texarkana is a place you come to “Cross The Line” because there is just “two” much to do. Stand on both sides of the Texas/Arkansas state line, see a Broadway show, have a gourmet meal and drive to the only diamond mine in the world that is open to the public. All in one day!

But those who know Texarkana best, simply say we are TWICE AS NICE!

>> One of the most unique features of State Line Avenue is the only U.S. Post Office sitting in two states. The Post Office has two zip codes, 71854 for Texarkana, Arkansas and 75501 for Texarkana, Texas. Built in 1932-33 the structure features a base of pink granite from Texas and walls of limestone from Arkanasas. The Federal Building has long been a favorite point of interest. When you are ready for a photo so large it takes two states, come pose on Photographer’s Island at 500 State Line Avenue!
